growing
whenever I pick up or change Alice, she seems SO tiny. I was even starting to worry that she wasnt gaining enough weight, even though it's pretty obvious that she's a good eater. she's not chubby in the least, but perhaps we just dont make chubby kids? I'm sure Caleb's eating problems last year feuled my fears.
so today was her 1 month weigh-in, and she's doing great. she's up to 8 pounds and 22 inches. of course that IS tiny compared to Caleb, who is quite a solid kid, but she's well on her way.
in other news, the thrush is back, and it's quite evil. it actually never went away fully. it's not causing major problems yet, but we're not waiting for it to get bad. the latest tactic is an enzyme powder that is supposed to eat the yeast on contact. while this is "alternative medicine," we have some friends who've had great success with it, so hopefully this stuff will work.

Hmmm... I can't remember, but have y'all tried Grapefruit Seed Extract? I have had a few friends have great results with that.

Praying it goes away soon.
we havent tried that b/c it will block Michelle's fibro meds. thanks tho.
We make skinny kids too and we have nothing to blame for it. Eden is still wearing her 3-6 month clothes. I'll be praying for you and the thrush thing. yucky yuck. In this day and age of overweight children, I am very happy for my skinny kids. Be encouraged!
Ugh! I hate that you are still having to deal with the thrush. I'll continue praying for healing for Michelle's body. Keep hanging in there! Hopefully the end is near.
Our babies are keeping pretty close to each other. Jacob was 7lbs 4oz at birth and he was exactly 8lbs at his one month check up.
Time goes by much quicker with your second than with your first (and speeds by with your fifth). Make sure to enjoy every minute of it! I know you are.
I'm sorry to hear about the thrush hanging on. I hope you are able to get rid of it soon. Let me know how the enzyme powder works because unfortunately I have joined the ranks and now we are dealing with thrush too.
