Alice's stocking

last year we got a cool surprise from Auntie Sarah's mom. she knit a really great stocking for Caleb, just as she's done for her own kids and now grandkids over the years. we love it so much, and we hoped to have one for Alice too, and she graciously made another for us. she was the only one who knew Alice's name beforehand, and the stocking arrived the day before she was born. so here's Alice trying on her new stocking, which of course has now been hung by the chimney with care. many thanks, great-auntie Prudence!
