bradley reunion

this weekend our old childbirth class got together for a little reunion. all 10 families were able to make it, and the babies ranged from 5 weeks old to 5 months old. after 12 weeks of classes together, we got to know most of the couples fairly well, so it was a lot of fun to see all the babies. having all of them lined up on the couch was downright hilarious. all the moms arranging, all the kids leaning on eachother, a few fussing and crying, all the flashbulbs popping like mad. so much cuteness in one place. here are some pictures of the adventures.
while we didnt end up with a "natural" childbirth, we're so glad to have learned what birth is all about and made some friends along the way. before we went this weekend we were praying that our attitudes wouldnt fall into prideful comparisons. it's so easy to be proud and judgemental, as well as fearing that we dont measure up in one way or another. so we were so glad to be able to just have a good time, swapping stories and admiring all the kids. hopefully we can all keep in touch one way or another.

That is SO cute!! And how wonderful--that all those babies were born safely!
Holy pregnant cow BobWiegers! I think our Bradley Group had 5 kids at our reunion.
I would be interested to know how many in your class actually did have natural childbirths. In ATL it seems nobody really makes it the first time.
caleb is the 4th from the left, in the blue outfit. Michelle would have a better feel for how many made it naturally, but I'd say at least half. there were at least 2 c-sections that I know of, one inducement that I remember, and we took the epidural after 4 days.
one cool thing: 10 babies: 5 boys, 5 girls. all healthy!
also, I forgot to mention how EVERYone said how much he looks like me, which of course I think is pretty cool, but I think he looks a lot like his mama too.
That's nice of you bob to say that Caleb looks like Michelle to everyone. I just gave up on trying to get people to see that Josiah did look like me too. I mean isn't it nice when little boys look like their daddys? I just let my family pick through how Jos looks like me/us. Honestly I know Josiah has my ears, but that's nothing to brag about.
We did a bradley class at the same time you did and were the only ones not to go natural. Don't I feel like a dweeb! Really, I'm okay with that. But it's still kinda funny. We had moved before the reunion happened, so we never made it.
