mountain weekend
as previously mentioned, my parents took us and my sister and her husband to an amazing lodge in the georgia mountains. the initial reason for the gathering was to celebrate my parents 35th anniversary, but it evolved into more like a good excuse for my mom to have her grandson under the same roof for a while. it was good to be with the fam in a beautiful place, eating lots of good food and enjoying snazzy accomodations. we even got some fishing in, and michelle had a blast making campfires. best of all, Caleb did really well on the road trip and we had lots of fun on our first family adventure.
so here are the pictures.
in some ways it was a little strange because he got so much attention from everyone but us. we both ended up missing him very much (and michelle especially). maybe next time we'll remember to keep up some mama and daddy time.

what fun!! And what a pretty weekend to do it! It is hard to have the little tike so occupied by other people, I'm sure Michelle feels like he's an extra appendage and without him you feel a bit lop-sided. No matter how much time he spends with your folks he'll always be your responsibility and he'll get handed back when he's screaming too long :)
The photo of Caleb with the little hat while he's drinking a bottle is VERY cute... my favorite of the bunch!
thanks! michelle made that hat, so we're partial to it too.
Caleb is ADORABLE! Love the "hug me" shirt. I know what you mean about missing your little one -- I feel the same way when Grandma takes mine for too long!
How much do I love the picture of Caleb eating in the hat? I thought Michelle might have made it. It's precious.
