gmail and garden
a friend hooked me up with a gmail account (in beta it's by referral only), so now I can refer others. if anybody wants an account, lemme know. I currently have 5 referrals available. folks are apparently selling referrals on ebay, which I consider too close to ill-gotten gain to try. although I did sell a dell coupon a couple times.
---
the garden is coming along! we had our first tomato this morning (a cherry, that we split, so there wasnt a whole lot of nourishment, but it sure was yummy). and there's a good amount of cucumbers on the vine. there's a few bell peppers and the jalepenos are just about ready. there's also a couple yellow squash coming along and a little bitty cantaloupe. and of course there's a bunch of various green tomatos ripening, although some of the tomato plants are getting attacked by fungus or something, as well as the usual bugs. it's all a good bit of work, but it's starting to become quite worth it. and I think I'm even enjoying the process too.

Bob, I must say that there isn't usually stuff on your blog that I am super wowed by or whatnot, BUT almost every time I read it I think, "Man that is cool that people I know are 'cool adults'". You give me something to aim for.
I hope that came off as a compliment
um, yeah. boring and cool. I can dig it. next time you're in chatty you should stop by.
WOW WOW Crabby commented on your blog WOW WOW!
Okay, had to that. Anyways, thanks for the Gmail referral Bob. I haven't tried it yet, but now that I know its highly coveted maybe I'll do it to boost my self-esteem and importance in this world. I'll let ya know when I try it.
yeah I think crabby's mostly a lurker. and now that I think about it, I am quite humbled (in a good way) by the "aim for" comment. it may sound weird, but the only coolness I have worth emulating is a gift from God.
I'm so jealous of your garden! Last word I got my roses were making it okay without me (though some vines had risen up to challenge them) and my plot designated for veggie gardening was an overgrown jungle that had to be taken down to help fight off the inner-city Atlanta rat population. Not that we're really able to eat any of the veggies I've grown out there anyway, cause of lead and other pollutants (and of course the rats get first dibs), but I've enjoyed my "garden" anyway. *sigh* If you drive by ol' University Ave exit, give it a wave for me, Crabby.
Well, if no one else is, my tomatos are LOVING the heat. Peppers also doing quite well. But it's not a cucumber year. Nobody I know is having success with cukes. :( Maybe I'll wait until fall and try again with them.
hey bob. can you refer me for gmail. my address is recoilless@elitemail.org
would be thankful if u do so
