tv turnoff week
yesterday I found an article about the evils of tv, which reminded me of the annual tv turnoff week. lots of (admittedly one-sided) info on their site.

so i guess i was wrong, or maybe i meant 3 point shots, well there was that ok state shot, not to win though as well as the duhon shot the meant nothing but covering the spread for the game. maybe i just wanted to get people riled up about the tourney for one last time.
in case anyone who may be reading this is entirely confused by the above seemingly non sequitur, it's in response to a comment I made on his blog.
Wow. I didn't know anyone supported TV turn off other than me. I have been living TV free for about 2 years now and It's wonderful. Here is some more reading about it if you're interested

Hey Bob, just wondering how you are spending Turn off TV Week and wondering on your take on the few posts this blogger has to say (You'll have to scroll down to 4/19/04 first, then read the post on 4/20/04:

actually I kinda forgot about it, but we really dont watch much TV anymore. I've watched a little baseball this week, for the record.
I like that guy's perspective, but I think he's missing, or at least passing over, the point of TV turn-off week (as I see it at least). seems like the idea is to raise awareness of how much a waste of time the TV is, and by turning it into an event for a week, they get the press and whatnot.
