Buying any single one of the items listed on selectyourgifts.com would be a poor decision!

I counted several items on that site that I know to have encountered in dollar stores (i.e. Dollar Tree, Big Lots) so you should save those $12 bucks you might spend on the s&h and save it for something worthwhile like a book.

I would like to mention that the selectyourgifts SCAM is still on the move. Sawgrass Chrysler Deep Dodge in Florida lured my family to them about the gift certificate after I had received in the mail the scratch-off. I got all my hope up for nothing. At least we had gone to City Furniture first, so it was only a two minute drive and 15 minute wait at the dealership.

Thank you for providing the id and information here so I don't have to wait 2 weeks to have my hopes shattered for a $1,000 gift certificate with outrageous shipping fees. That site is such a rip-off! The old adage applies once again: If it is too good to be true, then it is!"

I just won a gift certificate from ebay on July 30, 2008 and actually went to a website that I thought was the real website for the gift certificate. The website had almost the same name and so I thought it was the real site. Well today its, August 6, 2008 and I just typed in the website address (www.selectyourgifts.com) and saw what I was really getting. I paid 10.49 as the winning bidder on Ebay for a 500.00 dollar certificate and all I have to do is pay shipping for each item purchased and a 5.00 processing fee each time I use the gift certificate for a order. Their merchandise on(www.selectyourgifts.com) is as cheap as when I go to a Dollar store!!! One of the cheapest quality items on the internet without a doubt. Big dissapointment this gift certificate is.

i was also scammed TODAY. got one of the 'if your numbers match you win a prize' letters in the mail. got my hopes up and hoped i would win the $7000 or a new desktop pc/laptop. there was also the $100 bill as one of the options and a 42" plasma. ended up false hopes as i drove to the dealership (ford TED BRITT) 30 minute drive only resulting in a waste of gas money! when i first won the $250 certificate i still had a slight bit of hope that maybe that site had something decent. to my suprise all of it was overpriced for shipping was not covered in the 'shopping spree' of $250

imagine getting only $100.00?...as a prize no less.I will not identify the company that we won this prize from because i believe they're a great company that just needed some incentive prizes for their promotional "gimmick" and maybe they hadn't realized what they had bought into until after the fact.Infact i think i'll call them to find out the responses they've gotten and suggest to them that this prize does an injustice to their otherwise reputable company and may chase folks away that hadn't yet made the desision to go with thier offer the night of the promo. gathering and drawings, etc.. who knows... maybe theyr'e unaware. In truth i believe many of these items are 99 cents store type items and i only used ours because my husband thought it was a great gig ...only having to pay the s&h.I'm simply posting this comment because of how very differently i view the co. we recieved ours from than i view the selectyourgifts co. itself and syg needs to consider the potential damage it is doing to these otherwise reputable companies!

well, it is 2007 and the scam is still alive in mississippi from a chevy dealership. I do not blame the dealership for they were a victim also. this select your gift is a real rip-off .

Hey, this company totally sucks! I feel kind of hurt though, I only got a $500 gift certificate! I'm supposed to go to a 90-presentation tomorrow evening in order to get the certificate, they also say I get to have a dinner gift certificate and a free trip. I can't help but wonder what I will actually get. Do companies actually hope to make friends this way??

hehe. I'd like to see Mr. F's reaction to that. reminds me that Amazing Grace (among many others) can be sung to the Gilligan's Island theme song. very worshipful.

and we'll see about an MP3. I'm not sure I'm that brave, although we've talked about recording the songs we do in church.

This reminds me of a funny story. In Theory I, Mr. F the Horrible gave us a bunch of texts to write hymntunes to. Grace W and I were thrilled to find that Stevie Wonders "Baby, everything is all right" had the same meter as "jesus, source of my salvation, conqueror both of death and hell". heh. heh. Unfortunately I didn't bring that one to class.
